Thank you for visiting my website and for wanting to learn more about me.  I am licensed in New York State, and have been with ERA Insite Realty Services since July 2007.  Since then I have attended ERA's Top Gun Academy, graduated from ERA's Acceleration program and earned several professional designations.

I worked as a teacher's assistant in a preschool program for children with special needs in White Plains before starting my own business, "Mellie's Family Day Care," where I cared for up to five children at a time in my home in Ardsley. After many enjoyable and successful years, I closed that business and joined the Carpenter's Union Apprenticeship program where I learned general carpentry and then specialized in finish work and office systems. To supplement my income, I tended bar in a busy Italian restaurant that also had a night club on the weekends that attracted a crowd primarily made up of senior citizens. (Boy can they dance!!)

My seemingly unrelated career paths have taught me much of what it takes to be a top notch Realtor. I learned how to run a successful business, developed a keen appreciation for architecture, aesthetics, and finish work, and learned how important it is to really listen to my customers and, perhaps my most valuable lesson, that customer care and customer service matter!

I am a lifelong resident of Westchester County. I was raised in Ardsley, then moved to Ossining after my son graduated from high school.  Then I moved to White Plains, & I now reside in Tarrytown. I definitely work more than I play, but I enjoy taking advantage of all the wonderful attractions and activities that Westchester County has to offer.

I enjoy hot yoga, movies, reading, jigsaw puzzles, hiking, & riding my bike on the North County Trail.
